- If you have been in Duldung for 6 years, you can apply for a residence permit under Section 25b of the Residence Act.

- If individuals not living in Duldung have resided in Germany for 5 years without being involved in any criminal activities, they can apply for a residence permit under Sections 25A and 25b.
- If you have worked on a Duldung visa for 18 months you can apply for an indefinite Beschäftigung Duldung visa and then apply for a residency visa after a short period of time.
- If you are an Ausbildung student, you can get a residence permit in 65B.
- If you have integrated into the community by either learning the German language or engaging in social services you may be eligible to apply for a residence permit based on these considerations.
- If your asylum claim is still pending and has not been canceled, you can apply for a residence permit under the relevant section of the law that is applicable to your situation without waiting for your asylum application to be rejected.
